Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design — the American standard, adopted by the US Green Building Council in 1995.

There are four types of LEED certificate:

  • certified;
  • silver;
  • gold;
  • platinum.

The type of certificate depends on the number of points scored in each category.

BRE Environmental Assessment Method

The most common green building standard, established by the state British institute BREGlobal in 1990.

The institute issues 5 types of official certificates:

  • pass;
  • good;
  • very good;
  • excellent;
  • outstanding.

Within the National Scheme Operators program, local programs have already been certified, taking into account the social, cultural and climatic features of some European countries.

We use the most advanced solutions, including green technologies. That's why we offer to certify the facilities built under our projects according to LEED and BREEAM environmental standards.

Major differences in standards

LEED certifies new buildings, BREEAM allows evaluating already constructed facilities.
BREEAM requires the participation of a certified specialist. For LEED it is not a must.
LEED sets higher demands on the environmental friendliness.
LEED gives greater freedom to the designer in choosing the solution to comply with the standard.
LEED focuses on the comfort of users, ventilation and air conditioning systems, and automotive availability.
BREEAM focuses on water use, noise insulation and the availability of bicycle infrastructure.

Investment attractiveness

An international certificate confirms the high level of the project.

Environmental protection

The certificate proves that the facility meets modern environmental requirements.

Cost effectiveness

The capitalization of LEED or BREEAM-certified buildings is on average 20% higher.

Prestigiousness

LEED and BREEAM guarantee a high class of the building as well as healthy and active lifestyle of people using it.

Innovation

To be prepared for certification, it is needed to look for new modern solutions, improving the quality of work.

Prospects

The certified object meets all the new environmental requirements throughout the life cycle.

Сost effectiveness

Collecting rainwater for technical use reduces the water consumption in the building up to 50%.
Proper glazing, taking into account the position of natural light sources and use of alternative energy sources, reduces the cost of electricity.
Thermal insulation of enclosing constructions, hermetic glazing, air recuperation and air cooling reduce the ventilation and heating costs.
