The urban planning concept for a residential complex in Khimki, developed by KPLN Architects, received diplomas from the Union of Architects of Russia at the International Architecture Festival Zodchestvo in 2022 and 2024. The project was designed for a 23.15-hectare site on the banks of the Klyazma River in Khimki, Moscow Region. The concept brings together residential blocks, educational facilities, everyday amenities, and a riverside promenade with a cycling path. A variety of façade designs is unified by a shared architectural concept featuring buildings with pitched roofs. Building heights range from 8 to 12 storeys, increasing towards the road. This arrangement opens up views of the river while shielding the inner residential area from its external surroundings. The concept includes two kindergartens and a school. The podium levels accommodate parking as well as social and commercial facilities. A riverside promenade with a cycling path connects the development into an integrated network of public spaces along the river.
